The Ecosia Android app is an intuitive browser with a twist — it uses the profits made from search ads to plant trees. As the app is already intuitive, because it's based on a Chromium fork, and thus resembles Google Chrome, it was important to underline how we stand out. To do so we created an app intro focusing on our unique brand and mission.
Тo get all requirements and align expectations, I ran a kick-off where I presented the goal of the project, do's and dont's of app tutorials, and shared user feedback regarding the app. I then collected stakeholder requirements and, together with the PM worked with internal and external parties to bring the intro to life.
As lead UX Copywriter at Ecosia, I worked with the CEO and Marketing team to finalize the copy. We collaborated in a Google Doc, where I introdcued the writing guidelines and discussed with the others. With input from everyone, I finalized the copy that went live in the app.
